Kajabi takes no revenue share, but its cheapest plan, Basic, costs $179 a month billed monthly or $143 billed yearly as of October 2026. Kajabi Payments charges 2.9% + $0.30 per US card on Basic, so on $1,000 of $10 course sales a creator keeps about $762. Kajabi makes sense for creators earning several thousand dollars a month who want email, website, community and checkout in one place.
Kajabi takes no cut of your sales, but its cheapest plan now costs $179 a month, so on $1,000 of $10 course sales you keep about $762 after Kajabi Payments processing. Kajabi is built for creators already earning several thousand dollars a month, where the flat price looks small next to the email, website, community and checkout tools it replaces. Below that, the plan fee eats too much of each sale.
How much does Kajabi take?
Kajabi takes a 0% revenue share on every plan as of October 2026. You pay the plan price plus card processing, and Kajabi adds its own fee only if you run cards through a third-party processor instead of Kajabi Payments.
| Basic | Growth | Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Billed monthly | $179 a month | $249 a month | $499 a month |
| Billed yearly | $143 a month | $199 a month | $399 a month |
| Kajabi revenue share | 0% | 0% | 0% |
| Kajabi Payments, US card | 2.9% + $0.30 | 2.8% + $0.30 | 2.7% + $0.30 |
| Fee on third-party processors | 2% | 1% | 0.5% |
| Products | 5 | 50 | Unlimited |

| Websites and communities | 1 each | 1 each | 3 each |
| AI credits | 0 | 500 | 1,000 |
These prices took effect for existing customers on January 13, 2026. Kajabi’s update page calls it the first price change since 2015. The pricing page no longer lists the old Kickstarter tier, so Basic is the entry plan. Extra contacts cost $125 a month per block of 25,000.
Kajabi Payments in the US adds a few surcharges on top of the card rate:
- 1.5% for international cards
- 0.7% on every charge of a subscription or payment plan, including the first
- 1% currency conversion, built into the exchange rate
- $15 per dispute, kept by Kajabi even if you win
- 6% + $0.30 for Afterpay and 5.99% + $0.30 for Klarna
Here is the arithmetic on published fees for 100 one-time sales of a $10 course on Basic. Processing costs $0.59 a sale, or $59. Add the $179 plan and you keep $762. If those were $10 monthly membership charges instead, the 0.7% subscription surcharge adds $7 and leaves $755.
Upgrading pays for itself through processing only at very high volume. Growth’s rate is 0.1 percentage point lower than Basic’s, which saves $1 per $1,000 of sales against a $70 higher monthly price, so the saving covers the upgrade only above $70,000 a month in card sales. Move up for the limits, not the fees.
The third-party fee matters if you planned to keep your own Stripe account. On Basic, Kajabi adds 2% on top of Stripe’s charges, an extra $20 on every $1,000. Kajabi says this fee applies only in regions where Kajabi Payments is available and never to PayPal.
How do Kajabi payouts work?
Kajabi Payments pays straight to your bank on a schedule. New accounts start on a monthly payout with a 7 business day transaction delay, which Kajabi sets at onboarding for compliance reasons.
After your first sale through Kajabi Payments, other schedules may open within 1 to 2 business days. Kajabi offers daily, weekly or monthly payouts, with a chosen day for weekly and a chosen date for monthly, but says daily and weekly availability varies by account. Once a payout is in transit, banks usually post it within 1 to 2 business days.
Instant Payouts are optional and cost 1.5% with a $0.50 minimum. Kajabi says the money usually lands within about 30 minutes, on any day including weekends, and your regular schedule keeps running.
Two details catch people out. A payout may not include every sale in your balance if some have not cleared their transaction delay, which Kajabi says can take 7 business days or longer. Changing your bank account puts a 7 day hold on all payouts.
Kajabi Payments works for businesses registered in the US, Canada, Australia, the UAE, the UK and selected European countries. Elsewhere you connect Stripe or PayPal and get paid on their schedules, with no Kajabi third-party fee. Kajabi does not publish a minimum payout.
How do you make money on Kajabi?
Kajabi lets you sell courses, coaching, memberships, communities, podcasts, newsletters and digital downloads from one account. There are no audience or revenue thresholds. Pick a plan, connect payments and publish an offer.
Every plan includes unlimited landing pages, funnels and marketing emails. The limits that bite on Basic are 5 products, 2,500 contacts and one community, and Basic gets no AI credits.
Kajabi Payments takes cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Afterpay and Klarna. It also handles invoicing, automatic sales tax calculation and syncing with QuickBooks Online and Xero. Those extras work only on Kajabi Payments, not on a connected Stripe account.
Pro now bundles a branded mobile app and the API, both previously sold as add-ons. Kajabi lists the app as a $199 a month value. Kajabi says Pro is for creators running more than one brand or wanting their own app in the App Store.
Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, and you can change or cancel a plan at any time.
Who is Kajabi best for?
Kajabi is best for creators already selling a few thousand dollars a month who would otherwise pay for an email tool, a website builder and a community app on top of a course host. At $5,000 a month in $10 sales, the same Basic math leaves about $4,526, or 90.5%.
Kajabi is a poor fit for beginners. At $1,000 a month, the $179 plan alone takes 18% of revenue before processing. Kajabi’s own pricing FAQ suggests Basic for creators who have not sold anything yet, but we think a $39 to $89 plan elsewhere is the cheaper place to find out whether a course sells.
Skip Kajabi too if your business is mainly a paid community. Basic includes one community, and you would be paying $179 a month for course, email and website tools you may never open.
