About CreatorPaper

An independent guide to the platforms creators get paid on, written for people who would rather read the fine print once than lose money to it every month.

CreatorPaper compares creator platforms on the thing creators feel most and see least, which is how much of each dollar a fan pays actually reaches them. A $10 membership can leave you anywhere from about half to almost all of it, depending on the platform's cut, card processing and plan prices. Those numbers are public, but they're scattered across pricing pages and help articles, and they change often.

We gather them in one place, run the same arithmetic on every platform, and score each one with a published method. Reviews link every number to its source and show the date we last checked it.

What we cover

We review the platforms where creators earn directly, from YouTube and Twitch to Patreon, Substack and course platforms like Kajabi. Our guides explain the income streams behind them, including brand deals, sponsorship pricing and creator taxes. Our comparisons and best-for lists turn all of it into a decision.

Who pays for this

Nobody, so far. We carry no ads, affiliate links or sponsored reviews, and no platform can buy a better score. Our methodology page says what we'll do if that ever changes.
