Stan Store costs $29 a month on Creator or $99 on Creator Pro and takes 0% of your sales, so your other costs are Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 per US card payment and a payout fee of 0.25% + $0.25 each time you cash out. On $1,000 of $10 sales, a creator on Creator keeps about $909. Stan is the quickest way to sell from a social bio link, but discount codes, upsells and email broadcasts need the $99 plan.
Stan Store takes 0% of your sales and charges a flat $29 a month, so on $1,000 of $10 product sales you keep about $909 after Stripe’s fees, one payout fee and the plan. That makes Stan one of the cheaper ways to sell from a social bio link once you sell more than a few hundred dollars a month. The catch is that the tools that grow sales, like discount codes, upsells and email broadcasts, sit on the $99 Creator Pro plan.
How much does Stan Store take?
Stan Store takes 0% of each sale on both plans as of October 2026. Your costs are the monthly plan, Stripe or PayPal processing, and a small Stripe fee each time you cash out.
| Cost | Creator | Creator Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly billing | $29 a month | $99 a month |
| Annual billing | $300 a year | $948 a year |
| Stan transaction fee | 0% | 0% |
| Stripe, US card | 2.9% + $0.30 | 2.9% + $0.30 |
| Stripe, international customer | +1.5% | +1.5% |
| Stripe, recurring payment | +0.5% | +0.5% |
| Stripe payout fee | 0.25% + $0.25, $1 minimum | 0.25% + $0.25, $1 minimum |
| PayPal | 3.49% plus a fixed fee | 3.49% plus a fixed fee |
| Afterpay and Klarna | Not available | 6.0% + $0.30 and 5.99% + $0.30 |
Stan’s own help center lists these Stripe rates for US creators and adds a 1% currency conversion fee when you sell in a currency other than your Stripe account’s. Stripe keeps its processing fee when you refund a buyer, so a refund costs you the full sale price plus the original fee.
Here is the arithmetic on published fees for 100 sales of a $10 product. Stripe takes $0.59 per sale, or $59. Cashing out the remaining $941 in one go costs $2.60. Subtract the $29 Creator plan and you keep $909.40, about 91%. The same month on Creator Pro leaves $839.40.
The payout fee rewards fewer, larger cash outs. Withdrawing $100 costs the $1 minimum. Withdrawing $1,000 costs $2.75.
Annual billing brings Creator down to $25 a month and Creator Pro to $79. Against a store that charges a 5% commission and no monthly fee, such as Payhip’s free plan, Stan’s $29 starts to win at roughly $615 a month in sales, by our arithmetic.
How do Stan Store payouts work?
Stan Store pays you when you ask. Card sales collect in a Stan balance, and you cash out to your bank once at least $10 is available. PayPal sales skip that balance and go straight to your PayPal account.
During setup Stan creates a Stripe Custom account that it manages, available in 39 countries. You cannot connect a Stripe account you already have. Stan’s help center is clear on this point, and it matters if you sell elsewhere and want one Stripe dashboard.
Card sales show as “available soon” while Stripe settles them. Stan says that usually takes about 2 business days and can take up to 7. The first sale on a new account can take 3 to 7 business days while Stripe verifies you.
When the money is available, you press Cash Out in the Income tab. Stan quotes 24 to 48 hours for funds to reach your bank. There are two rules to know. You must withdraw the whole available balance, because partial cash outs are not allowed, and there is no automatic schedule, so nothing moves unless you request it.
US creators can apply for Stripe Instant Payouts. Stan requires an account at least 30 days old, an instant-eligible bank account or card, and $2,000 already cashed out the normal way. Stripe can still refuse. Stan’s help article does not list the instant payout fee.
PayPal needs a PayPal Business account linked to a bank. PayPal is not available for funnels, and PayPal’s Pay in 3 plan does not work with Stan.
How do you make money on Stan Store?
Stan Store sells digital products, courses, calls and memberships from one storefront page, and the $29 Creator plan covers most of them. There are no follower or revenue thresholds. Stan’s help center says you can start earning as soon as you sign up and connect Stripe or PayPal, including during the trial.
The Creator plan includes:
- Digital downloads and lead magnets that collect email addresses
- An unlimited online course builder with course analytics
- Calendar and booking tools for paid calls and coaching
- Recurring subscriptions for memberships
- Community features
- Stan AutoDM, which sends automatic Instagram replies
Creator Pro adds the sales tools. Those are discount codes, limited-quantity offers, upsells and order bumps, funnels, affiliate management, contact import, email broadcasts and email flows, and pixel tracking for Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok. It also adds Afterpay, Klarna and Stan’s own installment payment plans.
Stan’s payment plans carry no extra Stan charge, but they come with limits. They need Stripe, they do not work on recurring memberships or funnels, and buyers cannot cancel them on their own. Stan warns that unpaid balances are usually unrecoverable, so the creator carries the risk.
Before Stripe or PayPal will connect, Stan requires at least one published product and either a linked social account or an email address on your profile. The processors review your store to see what you sell and how buyers can reach you.
Who is Stan Store best for?
Stan Store is best for creators who already have followers on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube and want one link that sells a guide, a course and a booking slot. The setup is short and the fee structure is easy to predict.
We would skip Stan if you have no audience yet. Stan has no marketplace, so every buyer comes from your own posts. A free plan with a commission costs nothing until you sell, which suits a slow start better than $29 a month.
Skip it too if you want to own the payment relationship. Stan’s managed Stripe account means you cash out through Stan, by hand, and you cannot bring an existing Stripe account. Creators who rely on email marketing should price in Creator Pro from day one, because broadcasts and flows are not on the $29 plan.
Stan Store alternatives
Payhip is free to start with a 5% fee, pays sales straight into your own PayPal or Stripe account and handles EU and UK VAT for digital products. It is the better pick below about $615 a month.
Gumroad is the usual comparison for selling digital products, and our Gumroad vs Stan Store comparison walks through the trade-offs.
Podia and Kajabi suit creators whose main product is a course and who want a full website rather than a bio link. For a ranked list, see our best platforms for digital products.
What Stan Store gets right

Where Stan Store falls short
- Discount codes, upsells, funnels, email broadcasts and payment plans all need the $99 Creator Pro plan
- Stan creates and manages your Stripe account, so you cannot connect a Stripe account you already have
- Cash outs are manual, all or nothing, and each one carries a Stripe payout fee
- No free plan and no marketplace, so Stan sends you no buyers
