How much do TikTokers make? Views, gifts, Shop and brand deals

Short answer

TikTok does not publish a per-view rate, so there is no official answer to how much TikTokers make. As of October 2026, the only split TikTok publishes is 70% of subscription revenue after app store fees, up to 90% with a bonus. Third-party estimates from Influencer Marketing Hub and Soundstripe put Creator Rewards at about $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, so 1 million qualified views would earn roughly $400 to $1,000.

TikTok does not publish how much it pays per view, so nobody outside the company can give an official figure for what TikTokers make. What TikTok does publish is a 70% share of subscription revenue after app store fees, the entry rules for each program and a $50 minimum for Creator Rewards payouts. Everything else on this page is either a named third-party estimate or arithmetic we ran on published numbers, and we label which is which.

Our view is that view-based pay is the smallest line on most TikTok earnings statements. By our arithmetic on 2026 estimates, a million qualified views earns about $400 to $1,000, while Later puts a single sponsored TikTok from a creator with 10,000 to 100,000 followers at $800 to $2,500.

How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?

TikTok publishes no standard rate per 1,000 views. Each creator in the Creator Rewards Program sees their own RPM in TikTok Studio, and third-party estimates published in 2026 cluster around $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views.

Source Date Estimate Basis
Influencer Marketing Hub Updated October 1, 2026 $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 views No method or data disclosed
Soundstripe Updated September 16, 2026 $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, around $1.50 for some finance and tech creators Creator-reported figures
Uppbeat, as reported by Stack Influence June 2026 analysis, article updated October 8, 2026 $362 to $1,035 per 1 million qualified views, average about $807 A limited set of creator disclosures, sample size not given

Treat all three as estimates. None comes from TikTok. The same Influencer Marketing Hub article describes TikTok Subscription as a 50/50 split after app store fees, which contradicts the 70% TikTok publishes, and that error is a good reason not to read any outside RPM as a rate card.

TikTok’s help center says your RPM depends on watch time and finish rate, search traffic, your location and your viewers’ locations, engagement and advertising value. That is why two creators with the same views can earn very different amounts.

What do those estimates mean in dollars?

At $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, 100,000 qualified views would earn $40 to $100 and 1 million would earn $400 to $1,000. That is arithmetic on third-party estimates, not a TikTok rate.

Qualified views in a month At $0.40 per 1,000 At $1.00 per 1,000
50,000 $20 $50
125,000 $50 $125
1,000,000 $400 $1,000
10,000,000 $4,000 $10,000

Two TikTok rules shrink these numbers in practice. Only qualified views count, which means views of at least 5 seconds from the 8 program countries, with each account counted once, and a video earns nothing until it reaches 1,000 For You feed views. TikTok also pays Creator Rewards on the 15th only once you have at least $50, so at those example rates a month would need 50,000 to 125,000 qualified views to reach the minimum.

TikTok also pays an Additional Reward on top of the view-based Standard Reward for well-made, specialized videos. The estimates above don’t say whether they include it.

Who can earn TikTok Creator Rewards?

Creators who are 18 or older, with 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, can apply. Only original videos over 1 minute earn, and the program runs in 8 countries.

TikTok’s terms for Japan and South Korea raise the follower bar to 50,000. We cover qualified views, eligible videos and the application in our TikTok Creator Rewards Program guide, so we won’t repeat the rules here.

How much do TikTok subscriptions pay?

TikTok pays creators 70% of subscription revenue after Apple or Google take their fee, and up to 90% in months when a 20% bonus applies. Subscription is the only TikTok program with a published split as of October 2026.

You need 10,000 followers and must be 18 or older. You set a monthly price from $2.99 to $99.99, with $5.99 as the default. The bonus needs over 10,000 followers, over 100,000 video views in the last calendar month and subscriber-only videos posted that month.

100 subscribers at $10 a month App store keeps 30% App store keeps 15%
Left after the app store fee $700 $850
Creator share at 70% $490 $595
Creator share at 90% with the bonus $630 $765

That is arithmetic on TikTok’s published split. TikTok doesn’t say which store fee applies to your subscribers, so your real figure depends on how many pay through Apple and how many through Google. Apple’s own developer terms keep 30% of a subscription in its first year and 15% after a year of paid service.

How much do TikTok LIVE gifts pay?

TikTok does not publish what a LIVE gift is worth to the creator. Its Virtual Items Policy says TikTok sets the Gift to Diamond conversion rate “in its absolute and sole discretion” and shows the cash rate only when you withdraw, with daily withdrawal limits.

Viewers buy Coins, spend them on Gifts during your LIVE, and the Gifts become Diamonds in your account. You must be 18 or older to go LIVE, and 18, or 19 in South Korea, to receive Gifts or withdraw Diamonds. TikTok’s LIVE monetization guide, dated June 23, 2026, gives no figures for gift earnings. Video Gifts work the same way on eligible regular videos.

Third-party sites publish Diamond values, but they disagree with each other and none cites TikTok, so we don’t repeat them. If live streaming is your main format, Twitch publishes its subscription split, and our best platforms for streamers list compares the options.

How much can you make from TikTok Shop?

TikTok Shop pays affiliates a commission on each sale, and the seller sets the rate, not TikTok. US creators need 1,000 followers, must be at least 18 and must be based in the US, according to TikTok Shop’s Creator Eligibility Policy as checked in October 2026.

New affiliates under 5,000 followers spend at least 30 days in a pilot program. During it you can promote only products with a Shop Performance Score of 95% or higher and post up to 3 shoppable videos and 3 shoppable LIVEs a week, and you can’t join campaigns. You leave the pilot once you have 5,000 followers and 30 days in it.

TikTok’s Seller Center help says sellers set a standard commission rate for creator affiliates and can set a separate rate for orders that come from their Shop Ads. Here is a worked example with made-up inputs. If a seller offers 15% on a $20 product, you earn $3 a sale, and 100 sales earn $300. Our guide to affiliate marketing for creators covers how to pick products.

How much do TikTok brand deals pay?

Brand deals have no TikTok-set price. Collabstr’s 2026 report, covering more than 21,000 collaborations on its marketplace, put the average payout per engagement on TikTok at $186, according to Storyboard18’s March 20, 2026 coverage.

The same report found TikTok’s share of Collabstr campaigns fell to 21% from 41% the year before. Later’s July 7, 2026 pricing guide gives higher figures, $200 to $500 for a Reel or TikTok from creators with 1,000 to 10,000 followers and $800 to $2,500 from creators with 10,000 to 100,000. Later says TikTok rates track expected views rather than follower count, and it doesn’t publish a method for its ranges.

TikTok One, TikTok’s own brand marketplace, opens projects to creators who are 18 or older with at least 1,000 followers in regions where it has launched, and each brand can add its own criteria. Which TikTok income stream pays the most?

For most creators, brand deals pay the most per post and Creator Rewards pays the least per view. That is our read of the published estimates, since TikTok releases no earnings data of its own.

Income stream Who sets the rate What TikTok publishes Estimate or example
Creator Rewards TikTok Factors only, no rate $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, third-party estimates
Subscription TikTok’s split, your price 70% after app store fees, up to 90% $490 to $765 from $1,000, our arithmetic
LIVE and Video Gifts TikTok No rate No reliable figure
TikTok Shop affiliate The seller No rate Depends on each seller’s commission
Brand deals You and the brand No rate $186 average on Collabstr, $200 to $2,500 per post in Later’s two smallest tiers

By our arithmetic, one sponsored post at Later’s $800 floor for creators with 10,000 to 100,000 followers pays as much as 800,000 to 2 million qualified views at the estimated RPM range. That is why we treat Creator Rewards as a bonus and plan around brands, Shop and Subscription. Our guide on how to make money on TikTok sets out the order to add them.

How does TikTok pay compare with YouTube and Instagram?

YouTube and Instagram both publish more of their splits than TikTok does. YouTube pays creators 55% of net long-form ad revenue, and Instagram takes 0% of subscriptions, though Apple still keeps 30% of a first-year iOS subscription.

Our YouTube vs TikTok and TikTok vs Instagram comparisons put the rules side by side. For the other apps’ numbers, read how much YouTubers make and how much Instagram influencers make, and for the wider picture, how creators make money.
